During the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War, Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who posthumously received the Maha Vir Chakra, had shot down a US-made PAF F-104 Starfighter while flying an inferior Mystere of French make. The instance was reminisced by IAF Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa on Monday as he addressed audience at Coimbatore Base Repair Depot.
