Chasing 289 India were at one stage reduced to 4/3 before Rohit Sharma, who scored his 22nd ODI hundred, and Dhoni put on a 141-run partnership for the fourth wicket. But India, in the end, fell short and lost to Australia in the first ODI in Sydney. Dhoni hit three fours and a six before he was out leg before wicket to Jason for 51 and his 68th ODI half-century.
