On Tuesday, HD Kumaraswamy was scheduled to take part in the centenary celebrations of VP Deen Dayalu Naidu along with vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu and governor Vajubhai R Vala but he didn't turn up. The reason is said to be Monday’s Mahalaya Amavasya that spilled over to Tuesday due to which he did not venture out till noon.
