Since India signed a $5 billion deal to purchase the much-vaunted S-400 air defence system from Russia, sanctions from US have been a looming threat. On Wednesday, US President said that India will get to know sooner than it thinks about US' reaction. The US passed a bill in 2017 that allows it to impose sanctions on Iran, North Korea, and Russia.
