Indian Naval officer Abhilash Tomy, who was injured while participating in the round-the-world solo race, was rescued on Monday. The injured officer is in a conscious state and has been shifted to the French Fishing Vessel Osiris. Tomy's vessel was dismasted in extremely rough weather and sea conditions on Friday, with wind speeds of 130 kmph.
